Now that I've figured this out, I am having big fun with Flickr. I joined many groups yesterday, from Yalsa (work) to Edwardian and Victorian fashion (hobby). Today I easily loaded my Betsy bench photo. You must know about the Betsy-Tacy series by Maud Hart Lovelace? That was my favorite series when I was a child. I wanted to be Betsy, live in the early 1900s and have suppers on the bench with my best friend. Visiting Mankato and "Betsy's" house was as close as I could get. I was thrilled and my husband was patient.
Back to Flickr, I love the Common Craft videos, because they are so easy to follow. Also, I'm pretty inspired by the Clemens and Alcuin libraries and their Flickr book displays. I could definitely use that idea for the Teen section. I'd just photograph my displays and use that "add a note" feature and my themes would be around and accessible after the physical displays came down!
The Picnik/Flickr partnership looks really cool, and I'd like to play with the photo editing, but I don't have enough photos of my own to work with. So, I'll need to come back for a trial. :)
